| ( I actually did a lot of these haiku ones, but just chose the best ones. )RECOMENDATIONSAlright, I've said this before and I'll say it again; read copperbadge's Stealing Harry. Read it. Now. Kid-friendly versions of certain chapters available now. This work of literature not available in stores. Future chapters dependent on writer's schoolwork, financial status, and occasionally fickle muse. This reccer not responsible for any trauma that may or may not be sustained due to reading this material, but would like to point out that the man knows how to both spell and use a comma, which had seemed to be becoming a lost art.Actually, just read anything by copperbadge, ladyjaida, musesfool, rynne, thistlerose, or the other talented authors on my Flist. Oh! And Tala, if you don't finish reading Rebuilding Ozymandias (By dead_sirius, a lj for copperbadge and ladyjaida's share works.) soon, I will, I will, . . .er. . . . . . I will do something utterly despicable to you (that I cannot think of at the moment), so you had best read it! And anyway, Fion? Oscar? Portia? Fromage and wine and, and...argh. READ IT. *phbb* And btw, do you know if Mila's going to write her part of the story anytime soon? Current Mood: sleepyCurrent Music: TV commercials | | Sunday, March 14th, 2004 | | 7:18 pm |
Well, you've already heard the bad, so here's the good: 1) I had my first soccer practice Saturday. Yay! 2) I got new cleats! They are good ones, expensive and an ugly white but ohsogood for soccer. 3) My TaeKwonDoe instructor said that I should spar in some upcoming tournaments after working on some combinations because I'm "fearless." Whee! I get to spar! Which is fun except when fighting littler and lighter people 'cause then you (or I anyway) feel all guilty and worried that you are going to hurt them. 4) New Charmed episode on tonight! Yay for the magical newness of it all. 5) Fake Volume II is in my inbox at the comic book store!!! I already have I and III, so I am very happy it came in finally. I had been waiting for it to come in, but I got sick of waiting and just bought number III. I need more money.... Hmm, I should probably talk about Stasia's party. . .
Yeah, it was last week. So? Anyway, was much fun. I put eyeliner and black lipstick on Jeeves and Justin, put black lipstick on most of the girls after the guys left, got Mila hooked on Fake as well as Gravitation, got Stasia hooked on both at once, and got to watch Bend it Like Beckham again. *grins* I enjoyed myself muchly. I went to the acupuncturist on Wendsday. Was kinda scary, because she stuck needles in my face and they stung and I cried, but my dad let her stick a needle in the top of his head and read parts of The Phoenix Guards by Steven Brust to me. *growls* SO aggravating
Holly is annoyed with me because I a) told her to stop trying to make Stasia join guard and b) told her not to talk to me that way. (NickiHuntington: meg, shut ur pie hole) Then she left the chat room after getting all snippy. Fuck. Current Mood: annoyedCurrent Music: Angel | | Tuesday, February 24th, 2004 | | 4:48 pm |

Mmm, peanut butter cookies. . . I'm baking for my church's food sale tomorrow. And now I am scanning my Flist for fics...I *should* be doing my homework, but it's such a nice day outside- therefore, I must spend hours online. . . . I need a life. And: Whah! Burnt cookies! Oh, well, they aren't that bad, and I am making another batch. Ai Yi Yi Yi-Yi, I am the Frito Bandito!
You're Watership Down!
by Richard Adams
Though many think of you as a bit young, even childish, you're actually incredibly deep and complex. You show people the need to rethink their assumptions, and confront them on everything from how they think to where they build their houses. You might be one of the greatest people of all time. You'd be recognized as such if you weren't always talking about talking rabbits.
Take the Book Quiz at the Blue Pyramid.
Whee! Quiz spam! Watership Down is a great book, so if you haven't already read it, I suggest you do so. I'm reading Julius Caesar(The Tragedy Of) right now. It's good. My non-slasher friend Julia is mock-angry at me and Jess for telling her about slash all the time, because now she sees it everywhere. (I suppose she's been coverted against her will. . .oops. . .) So she was reading Julius Caesar, when I told her about a story I read by Copperbadge that was Brutus/Cassius. Now she keeps on reminding me that on the test, the correct answer is that Brutus killed Caesar for the good of Rome, not because he was in love with Cassius. . . . I want Oreos now. . . 8-sentence story, updated and edited again... ( Read more... )Background of story, for anyone interested: Realworld is the well, real world. Dragons, Centaurs, Pegasi, etc. all exist and are equal to humans. Magic is real. Realworld is ruled by a series of councils, The Council being the highest. CPC is basicaly the equivalent of FBI or other police force. Earth is the original home of dragons, Mars's of men. Mars was ruined due to some horrible humans in power, making the humans who had not already fled to Realworld move to Earth. They then started hunting dragons, forcing a mass exodus. Earth today is part of a sector of Realworld called Wasteland. This is the equivelent of prison, in most cases. Dark mages, killers, rapists, dragon/witch hunters, etc. are stripped of any magic they may posses and sent to Wasteland, where they cannot hurt others. This is not a perfect system, by any means, because the criminals have children and their children have children and now you have completely innocent habitants where you are sending horrible people. Different occupations: (just a few..) Healers can heal. (Most have healing magic, some are simply herbalists.) They are sworn to aid any who ask it of them, unless the person has just tried to kill them. Mental Masters posses phenomenal psychic ability, and they are responsible for the knowledge of the ages.
